We each have a Professional Development Budget for the whole year, and people are free to spend it on any kind of learning experience that relates to their job, for example:
Some people may use it all to go to one pricier conference, but someone else may choose to do a bunch of smaller local conferences. Someone who doesn’t travel much might use it for online courses or books.
The per-person Professional Development Budget is €3,000/year.
We re-evaluate this amount every year.
In certain business-related cases, for example when a person is asked to attend a conference to staff our booth, management can waive the requirement to use funds from the Personal Development Budget.
